CFTE is headed by Dr. Lalitha Appachu, an educationist and consultant, with close to three decades of teaching and training experience with educational institutes, corporate organizations and NGOs.

Dr. Lalitha Appachu

• Holds a doctoral degree in English; Passionate about teaching and training.
• Began her career as a lecturer in 1985 in V V Puram Science College; went abroad in 1994 to work with the Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman; returned in 1999 and worked as an editor for two years; has been training since 2002.
• Has conducted over 1500 workshops and training programmes for Corporate Organizations, Educational Institutes, NGOs, Parents, and College Students.
• Over 20,000 students, teaching faculty of schools and colleges, corporate employees have benefitted from her workshops and training programmes.
• Has trained the employees of prestigious organizations like Tessolve, MeritTrac, Meta-I Technologies, JSW, Datacraft, HAL among others.
• In March-April 2005 she spent one month in Shanghai, China, implementing an English Language Enhancement Programme for the Chinese engineers of Infosys.
• Consultant to Biocon Foundation and is actively engaged in helping them organize and restructure their after school learning centres [Ata Pata Wadi] for children from underprivileged sections of society.
• ICICI First Source and Dr Reddy’s Foundation have had their trainers trained by her and now they have implemented English Language Improvement Programmes for underprivileged youth in Bangalore and rural Andhra Pradesh.
• She has participated as a resource person and also has presented papers at several state level, national level and international conferences and seminars.

• Design and implementation of workshops, long / short term training programmes for Educational and Corporate Organizations.
• Design and implementation of English language improvement programmes for Educational and Corporate Organizations.
• Design and implementation of English Language and Soft Skills Digital Learning Labs with focus on customized, need specific modules
• Curriculum and syllabus design
• Evaluation and Assessment Techniques; Development of Band Descriptors across skills, both academic and corporate.
• Design and Development of Learning Materials for Children with Learning Difficulties
• Facilitating Creative Pedagogical Practices in English language teaching and other core subjects.
• Early Childhood Education – Curriculum design and implementation.
